Aunt Martha’s Health Center opened two new community health clinic and wellness centers in Joliet, Illinois. They asked Anderson Mikos to design the Joliet center to LEED certification standards.
Aunt Martha’s is the second largest provider to the uninsured and the largest provider of mental health services in the Joliet area. They serve 14,000 residents. The Centers were built with a grant from HRSA through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The Youth Center has several unique features.This was created as a place the community can come together.
The Center has two floors. The first floor offers:
- 7 Exam rooms
- Triage
- Nurse Station
- Behavioral Health and Group Therapy rooms
- Conference room allowing shared use after hours with community groups
- Lab area
The second floor contains:
- Outdoor deck area for group functions
- 6-station dental suite
- 6 Obstetric exam rooms
- Ultrasound room
- NST room
- Multipurpose conference room
- Nurse Station
