David E. Mikos, AIA, NCARB, ACHA, LCI
Chairman | Chief Executive Officer
Dave is one of the two founding principals of Anderson Mikos Architects, ltd., which opened its doors in 1985. Dave Mikos brings his extensive experience in the programming, planning and design of a wide variety of Health Care Facilities to Anderson Mikos Architects, ltd. Dave has firsthand knowledge of health care needs and brings his unique perspective to Health Care Design having been resident Architect for The Children’s Memorial Hospital, Chicago.
He has appeared before the U.S. Section of the International College of Surgeons to discuss the Planning and Design of Surgery Centers and Surgical Suites; as well as before the American Institute of Architects, defining the challenges of Emergency Department design and implementation.
George Franceschina
President | Director of Technology
George has been with Anderson Mikos since the firm’s earliest stages, totaling 35 years as an AMA employee. George oversees the Marketing and PR efforts of Anderson Mikos, while managing the Associate Program, budget review and recommendations and supervising and maintaining technology at the firm. He brings distinct knowledge and experience in a variety of building types, including healthcare, commercial and institutional work, to every project. As the Director of Technology, he is a member of the team that maintains the micro-based CAD system, including implementation of staff training programs and evaluation of newly-released computer products.
Bob Schaefer, AIA
Senior Vice President | Chief Operating Officer
Bob has recently surpassed 26 years with Anderson Mikos and is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He acts as the personnel liaison and oversees the operating budgets, fee preparations and AMA project schedules. Bringing a combination of experience, skills and dedication, Bob is one of Anderson Mikos' most valuable and versatile staff members. Bob's architectural background is exclusively healthcare. Prior to joining Anderson Mikos back in 1994, Bob was employed for over eight years at the Children's Memorial Medical Center in Chicago.
Mark Mazibrook
Vice President, Quality | Senior Healthcare Planner/Designer
Mark Mazibrook has covered a wide variety of healthcare projects while working at AMA. He brings his drive for perfection in the global sense, down to the intricate details of a project, allowing him to manage projects through all phases of design and construction. His strengths are heightened by his ability to develop spaces in the third dimension through his expertise in CADD modeling and rendering.
